Dutch Foreign Minister visits Algeria

Stef Blok, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, is visiting Algeria on 8 and 9 May, at the invitation of Abdelkader Messahel, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During this visit, the two ministers will co-chair the work of the third session of the Joint Economic and Technological Cooperation Commission between Algeria and the Netherlands.

An Algerian-Dutch Business Council has recently been created to promote, in addition to commercial relations, the industrial partnership and the development of mixed societies.

“This session will lead to an assessment of the state of relations and bilateral economic and financial cooperation as well as the examination of ways and means to further strengthen and diversify the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries”, said the communicated.

it was noted that in addition to promoting bilateral political dialogue, the two ministers will also have the opportunity during this visit to consult on the issue of Western Sahara, the situation in the Sahel and Mali, the Libyan issue, the Euro-Mediterranean partnership, the question of terrorism and the problem of migration.
